BossUpATL
The Narrative
A Bit of Background
BossUp ATL is a reality tv series of 4 corporate female millionaires and billionaires educating society on how to juggle life, business, family and relationships whilst running Fortune 500 companies.
Reality TV always showcases females who are in the beauty or entertainment industry as if those are the only way to become wealthy.
We are changing that narrative and introducing successful CEOs who run corporate America businesses from consultants to call centers, tax/accounting offices, legal offices etc.
Meet the Cast & Crew
Who’s Who
BossUpATL wouldn’t be the same without the hard work and execution of our talented cast and crew. Our team includes some of the industry’s best and brightest Millionaires; people who are striving to find new ways to tell their story and challenge their audiences. Take a look at their bios below.
Sharna Barnes
Cast - CEO of Complete Contract Consulting
We often hear stories of entrepreneurs in America starting from humble beginnings, but it’s
not everyday that a woman from Jamaica makes her mark as the CEO of a multi-million dollar
consulting firm stateside. Sharna Barnes is the epitome of black excellence. The true face of
determination and ambition, Sharna has perfected the American Dream as a foreigner.
Arriving in the U.S. in 2012, she began working as nanny for a wealthy family in San Diego, California. Her mission was straight forward; provide opportunities for herself
and her family members. In 2015, she established Complete Contract Consulting and quickly
saw success in the government consulting industry; landing clients such as The Georgia
Aquarium and Idaho State Department of Education. Sharna now has firms based in Atlanta;
Jamaica (CCJ), Colombia and the Cayman Islands. She saw fit to involve family into the inner
workings of the business, trusting that their skillset and personal dedication would manifest a
plethora of growth for the company. While the addition of her niece Kemesa Colson (the
Director of Global Operations) has been one of her stronger moves; the relationship with her
Vice President and soon to be ex-husband has led to an array of problems that not even the
best government contract can fix. Sharna is now 38, longs for children and plans to retire at
the young age of 40; but life has thrown a few curve balls her way. How does a freshly
divorced woman date in a society where her wealth could attract the wrong type of
intentions? Are her newly found friendships based on genuine love and care for her, or are
they predicated on opportunity and financial gain? A new chapter is upon Sharna Barnes, one
that has a lot more questions than answers at the moment. Her passions for acting are
beginning to take precedents in her life, with her plans to make Kamesa CEO fast approaching.
As love leaves, a new sense of self both professionally and personally are taking shape.
Sharna’s quest for life after CCC is one that sees love, children and continued travel as the
best possible outcomes; but will the cards be in her favor?
Kemesa Colson
Cast - Contract Consulting Jamaica
The “Corporate Ladder” is a hierarchy that’s been engrained into societies worldwide, and
it usually takes decades to reach the top. Kemesa Colson has had an atypical experience in
the corporate setting of CCC, as her ascension has been hasty. Holding the title of Director
of Global Operations, she sits just one promotion away from being the CEO of one of the
worlds top grossing government consulting firms. However, her new found success hasn’t
come without its’ own set of nodi; as her relocation to America from Jamaica continues to
present new adventures daily. From the jarring difference in flavor pallets between the
two countries food, to communication style; Kemesa has found herself trying to expand a
bubble that initially kept her safe since arriving stateside. Her fiery and blunt personality
continue to fuel both CCJ and parent company CCC’s innovative approaches to the
consulting industry. She was apart of the first wave of intellectuals that considered the
idea of tiny homes; which is now a 20 million dollar industry in the U.S. Kemesa is currently
leading Complete Contract Consulting’s initiative to build tiny homes for employees
migrating from Haiti to Florida for construction opportunities, as well as in Jamaica. Being
such a valuable asset to the company, Kemesa fluctuates between Jamaica, Colombia and
Atlanta throughout the year. She spends roughly 3-4 months in each location, overseeing
the mass operation that is CCJ and CCC. However, business isn’t the only thing keeping
Mrs. Colson returning back home to the island that birthed her. Outside of the savory
oxtail and warm climate, her four year relationships continues to breathe life into her everyday ventures. Love is
her language, luxury is her lifestyle. Kemesa is well aware of her brewing opportunity to
become CEO in the coming years, but will the reigns of the company prove to be too much
for someone so young?
Stephanie Warren-Kigenyi
Cast - Mimi Warren Agency
Consulting is the business at hand, but creativity never fails to present itself amongst even
the most business minded of professionals. Born and raised in San Francisco, California,
Stephanie Warren-Kigenyi is close friend to Sharna Barnes and CEO of Mimi Warren; a briskly
evolving multimedia company. Spending her early years on the west-coast, Stephanie began a
career in commercial acting; appearing in ads for global brands. Her animated
personality proved to not only be valuable in front of the camera but also behind it. Since
2017, she’s worked independently in the Bay Area, Arizona and San Diego (where her and Mrs.
Barnes first met). Stephanie’s unique eye and personable approach to the media industry led
her to build a rolodex that was far more expansive than her competitors; one that would help
transform Mimi Warren into a full blown agency. Relocating to Atlanta in 2022, the company
has developed into a dynamic collection of creative professionals; offering film, photo, styling
and art direction services. Her relocation and introduction to Kemesa have been a match
made in heaven, as their opposing personality blend like chocolate covered pretzels. Although
the reconnection with Sharna and recently developed relationship with Kemesa have granted
her gaiety; she still understands the plights in front of her. Building new clientele on a new
coast has been a struggle, as the demographic and pallet for production is vastly different.
How do you create work that speaks to a community of minorities when you’re raised around
predominantly privileged families? That is just one of the many questions Stephanie and her
company must answer to survive in a city that is rapidly becoming the new Hollywood. Luckily
for her, she’s not alone. Stephanie’s six year relationship has gone wherever she has, and
having a significant other that operates in the same field has relaxed her mind in the bustling
city. Will her romantic and platonic love be strong enough to sustain her ambitions on the east
coast, or will Mimi Warren fall ill with such drastic climate change?
Simone Keize
Cast - CEO of Keize & Associates
Without a vast understanding of economics, no company will stand the true test of time. As Sharna Barnes began to see major expansion within CCC, she saw fit to bring in long-time friend Simone Keize to take charge of the accounting sector. CEO and operator of Keize & Associates, Simone spent her adolescences in Spanish Town Jamaica; one day dreaming of a life that stretched far past the Caribbean Sea and into the land of opportunity. Her journey to America began in 1999, where she commenced her studies in accounting and CPA licenses in South Florida. After nearly two decades of working as an accountant, she saw opportunity to not only take charge of her own career; but help other minorities in the financial space do the same. In 2017 she began Keize & Associates, an accounting firm dedicated to not only providing financial services but also educating their clients along the way. Building a business to business relationship with Sharna proved to be the symbiotic relationship that would push Simone to dilate her mastery. Simone’s current priority is paving a way for minorities, specifically black mothers to become CPAs worldwide. Despite her efforts, she has faced workplace turmoil as of recent, with a group of employees going rouge. The betrayal hasn’t only come from within either, as some of her wealthiest clients are refusing to make payments. In an ideal world, Simone could turn away from the day to day stress at the office to a peaceful and fulfilling personal life. Yet the chaos persist, as time continues to be a set of numbers that she can’t adjust. Raising a 16 and 3 year old has proven to be a full-time job within itself, doing it all while single.. is overtime. The father of her youngest has fallen into homelessness, leaving Simone to relocate from her former personal property to a rental house that is owned under her company. She’s now struggling to raise her youngest, oldest and run a million dollar firm; while desperately seeking the time to take care of herself. What once seemed like a fairytale story of triumph from worker to boss, has now evolved into a battle with depression and financial stability both professionally and personally. Her passions to trailblaze the revival of a dizzying accounting industry have began to conflict with the everyday duties of a family woman. Work life balance is a belief that she stands by and isn’t willing to sacrifice; but will the demands of her personal life allot enough time to raise the standard in the industry she loves?
Julian Roberts
Cast - Social Media Manager at CCC
In the mid 2000s, a new generation of filmmakers arose to the forefront. The emergence of an online video platform called YouTube began to inspire a wave of creators to think outside of Hollywood, Julian Roberts was one of them. Born in Atlanta, Julian grew up in a polarizing household with a strict Bahamian-Haitian father and a free-spirited southern bell mother. His father migrated from the Bahamas at the tender age of 17 and found success in the tech sector of corporate America as the brains behind the internet boom. Contrarily, his mother found her way to success through a more personable and hands-on approach, beginning a lucrative career in real-estate. Julian had the best of both worlds, the logic and the social skills. With his worlds divided, he combined them to create a new reality. He began making films for YouTube at the age of 10, with his family and friends promptly recognizing the innate talent. Entrepreneurship was always his top priority, as he’d been a one man band; shooting, editing and distributing his own content. It wasn’t until his sophomore year of college where Julian’s ideologies began to broaden. Landing jobs at Georgia State University, PBS and working alongside charting artists atop the US Billboard Top 100; he’d seen the importance of combined effort when producing impactful projects. Although he found prominent success as an Art Director, dissension occurred as the sets he was working on magnified with each project. Julian was accustom to operating solo in the early stages of his creative journey; which meant he had creative control and final say in every project. As projects began to expand in concept however, there needed to be more hands on deck. His inability to delegate, communicate and trust surrounding crew members started quarrel; thus, there were failed contract negotiations, burned bridges and broken relationships due to his ineptitude to relinquish control. A lack of prosperity also crept into his personal life, as his excursions with love quickly flamed out time and time again. Due to his parents tumultuous marriage and divorce, his perspective on relationships was negatively tainted. He didn’t understand healthy boundaries, communication or the most important factor in romance; self-love. As Julian sought for answers to why his career was halting, the equally important inquiry of his stagnant love life had a compounding effect. It was an arduous time. For most, that’s where the story ends; but for Julian, that’s right where his journey with CCC began. Young and ready to trailblaze his industry once again, will Julian be able to strike a balance for the love life he’s dreamt of? Will his headstrong tendencies lead to a desecrated bridge between he and his new corporate home, or will he finally find his footing to escalate up the corporate ladder?
